Obituary

Wilson Ansell Fisher, age 68, of Melbourne, FL, son of the late Melva and Wilson (Bill) Fisher, passed away on March 11, 2021, after a long battle with kidney disease. Ansell was predeceased by his life partner David Dewberry, a Vietnam veteran.

 Ansell is survived by his sister, Eileen Fisher Davis (Donald), his niece and nephew, Jennifer Davis Mueninghoff (Chris) and Brian Davis, and also many Fisher family cousins.

 After graduating from Elizabethtown High School, class of 1971, Ansell obtained his Associate of Arts in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale, FL.  He worked at his profession starting in St Simon’s Island, S.C., then at The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia for many years before moving to Florida.

  Ansell was always proud of being the second baby born in the newly completed Bladen County Hospital in 1953.  Ansell had a quick wit, an amazing memory, and never met a stranger.
