Obituary

 Roy James Wyer, 66, of Lumberton passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was preceded by his father, Avon Wyer. Roy is survived by his mother Ursula Wyer of Lumberton, his loving wife Nancy Wyer of the home, two daughters, Amanda Wyer and Erin Wyer, both of Orlando, FL, and one sister Virginia Stiles of Hereford, AZ.

Roy was a devoted son, husband, and father. His family meant the world to him. Roy was very tech savvy. He enjoyed working with computers, radio and production at The Vertical Church in Lumberton. Roy will be remembered for his dedication and his grand sense of humor.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Vertical Church at 4330 b Kahn Dr. in Lumberton. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Mike Pittman and Pastor Donnie Paschall officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Vertical Church.
