Rosa Stone

Rosa Ann Anderson Stone, 76, of Tar Heel passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jessie and Bessie Anderson; husband, Robert Stone; granddaughter, Crystal Abbott Coffman. Rosa was very vibrant and full of life despite enduring 11 years of dialysis treatments. Rosa leaves behind two daughters: Elisa Abbott (Joe), Wanda Smith; brother, Jessie Anderson, Jr. (Johnna); three sisters: Janie Powers, Fran Mancos (Steve), Gayle Dowless (Steve); three grandchildren: Dana Gatlin (Robbie), Tiffany Roberts (Steven), Amanda Murillo (Andy); ten great-grandchildren: Alyssa Smith, Jacob Gatlin, Chloe Roberts, Alayna Gatlin, Aiden Roberts, Conner Coffman, Javi Murillo, Kobe Murillo, Stormy Roberts and Parker Gatlin.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, January 27th at Tar Heel Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th at 2pm at Tar Heel Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Puryear and Rev. Warren Hill officiating. Burial will follow service in the church cemetery.
