Pauline Benson Cain, 80, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Dudley Benson and Mae McLean Benson, her husband, Teed Cain Jr., two brothers, Dudley and William R. Benson and two sisters, Thelma Lee Julian and Helen Hester. Pauline leaves behind two sons, Elbert Lee Cain (Debra) of High Point; Benjamin Cain of North Battleford, Canada; two daughters, Darlene Batten of Bladenboro; Mary Lou Cain of Thomasville; two sisters, Linda Williams of Thomasville; Margaret Hammond of Bladenboro; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Pauline was a hardworking, Christian woman. She was the best seamstress in town and the family doctor. Pauline cherished her husband, children and grandchildren. She always put others before herself. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Her acts of kindness, sacrifices, advice and endless love for all those around her will forever leave a legacy in the hearts and minds of all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2 pm at Bethel Holiness Church in Bladenboro.
