Michael Mcewen

Michael Conley McEwen, 32, of Clarkton passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020. He leaves behind his parents, Horace Conley McEwen Sr. and Kathy Lingerfelt McEwen of the home; one sister, Teresa Lewis (Chris) of Whiteville; one nephew, Ethan Riley Lewis, one niece, Kayla Michelle Lewis, three close cousins: Keith Lingerfelt, Brandon Lingerfelt, and Heather “Niki” Brandt and several dear friends.

Michael adored his family and his dearest friends. They meant the world to him. He would say they made life worth the journey.  Michael graduated from West Bladen High School in 2006 and went on to earn his FSE Associates Degree in Applied Science from Fayetteville Technical Community College. He was employed by Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and Coastal Cremations Inc. in Wilmington. Michael was as dedicated to his jobs as he was dedicated to his loved ones. His dedication, compassion and loyalty will not soon be forgotten by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A funeral service is planned at 11:00 am at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel in Elizabethtown on Friday, August 7, 2020. Rev. Kevin Kinlaw will be officiating. All attendees are asked to practice social distancing.
