Jimmy Carroll

Jimmy Houston Carroll, 80, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dudley Carroll and Dicie Kinlaw Carroll, sisters: Eva Mae Guyton, Ann Atkinson, Pearline Gibson, two infant sisters, and brothers: Wilbur Carroll Sr. and Grady Carroll. He leaves behind one sister, Polly Garner of Bladenboro; one sister-in-law, Doris Carroll and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Jimmy loved his family and people in general. One of his favorite past times was inviting Jimmy Smith or multiple friends to eat at the home of his sister Polly.  He loved her cooking. Jimmy was a hard worker, when he was able. His job with Dowless Catering Service feeding others brought him much pleasure. Jimmy also enjoyed collecting valuables from his dumpster diving ventures. He will greatly be missed.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will follow at 4 pm with Rev. Cory Russ, Rev. Thomas Hunsinger and Rev. Leon Warren officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Old Pait Cemetery.
