Obituary

Gladys Jane Edwards, 72, of Bladenboro passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Alma Sykes; brother, Charles Sykes, Jr. and an infant brother, Rex.

Gladys leaves behind her husband, WJ Edwards (Pea Nut) of the home; son, WJ Edwards, Jr. of Bladenboro; daughter, Cheryl Jane Edwards Kinlaw of Bladenboro; two grandchildren: Kassidy Nicole Edwards, Dalton Ray Kinlaw; two great-grandchildren: Brantley Rich and Braxton Rich.

Gladys loved God, her husband, children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was a very compassionate and forgiving person. She enjoyed trips to the beach and eating seafood. Gladys will be dearly missed and will live forever in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:30pm on Monday, December 27th at the Bladen-Gaskins Bladenboro chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2pm in the Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
