Frances Dixon

March 21, 1926 — January 28, 2023

Bladenboro

Frances Andrietta Dixon, 96, of Bladenboro entered into rest on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton. She was born on March 21, 1926 to the late Dominick Andrietta and Concetta Biscaglia Andrietta in New York County, New York. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Rev. Eumneese Dixon, Howard Mayers; brother, Carmine “Andy” Andrietta; sons: Donnie C. Mayers and Johnny W. Mayers.

Frances leaves behind her son, Howard Mayers and wife Ramylee of Pembroke; daughter, Linda Bundy and husband Dennis of Lumberton; twelve grandchildren: Donna Mayers, Jane McLean, Wayne Mayers, Teresa Locklear, Danielle Blackwell, KC Caulk, Kelly Deal, Tammy Moss, Sammantha Lewis, Michael Mayers, Christopher Bundy, Amanda Oxendine; 35 great grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Tinker Bell.

Sis. Dixon was praising the Lord until the end. She was never in pain or complained. She was always content with what she had. She was a Godly Woman who everyone admired and respected. When she answered the phone, she would always say "Praise the Lord". She loved the Lord and was an unselfish servant. Sis. Dixon was a faithful member of the Bethel Holiness Church in Bladenboro. She did her Prison Ministry until COVID hit. She would say" I love My Boys and they deserve to be treated with love and respect and given another chance." She loved all of them and they respected her. They would go by and see her when they got released. Sis. Dixon made sure no one ever went hungry, and she enjoyed taking care of everyone. She was feisty even until the end.

Our Mama was strong in her faith and was the backbone of our family. She will truly be missed, and I can't even begin to think how many crowns she has for all her work she has done for the Lord. God blessed her with 96 years on this earth to be a blessing to others. No one will ever be able to fill her shoes or take her place. She definitely was one of a kind.

The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Monday, January 30th at Bible Fellowship Holiness Campground (old Emmanuel Holiness Campground) in Bladenboro. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 31st at Bible Fellowship Holiness Campground with Rev. Bobby Revels and Rev. Ervin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.

The family would like to thank Nancy Smith for always being there for their Mama; whether it was a trip to church or the grocery store; your kindness was appreciated.
