Mr. Elwood was a man of great faith. He attended Oak Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church. During those years, he served on the Deacon Board and taught Sunday School to the youth. Needless to say, I doubt you will find one in the last 68 years that he did not make an impact upon their life in the Oak Grove Community. Mr. Elwood and his faithful wife, Lucille, were essential in starting the League on Sunday nights for the youth. During his lifetime with a joyful heart, he strived to be a blessing to others. At every opportunity, he told others of his first love-Jesus, his church, his family and always ended the statement with "I love everybody!" But most importantly, he wanted to make HEAVEN his home.

A private service will be held for immediate family due to Covid outbreak.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church 1423 Oak Grove Church Rd, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
