Dorothy “Dot” Bell Griffin Butler, 89, of Bladenboro passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Nora Griffin, her husband R.C. Dot was the backbone of her family. As a faithful, loving Christian woman, she taught each of them how to pray for others, to turn the other cheek and to trust God in all situations. Her faith was amazing. As a young woman, she worked at Ithaca sewing plant in Chadbourn for many years and loved riding motorcycles. She enjoyed attending church at Grace Baptist Church, bowling, swimming and sewing.
The family will receive friends at 10:30 am on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Pine Crest Cemetery in Bladenboro prior to an 11:00 am graveside service. Danny Williams will officiate the service.
