Daisy Pearl Anderson Cain, 81, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Gordon Anderson and Sally Tyler Anderson, her husband, Quince Leroy Cain, three brothers, Dalton Anderson, Johnny Anderson and Luther Anderson Jr. Daisy leaves behind three daughters: Susan Penman of Mt. Olive, Cathy Cain-Anna (William) of Oxford; Anna Bryan (Chad) of Bladenboro; one brother Ronnie Anderson of Texas; one sister, Irene Pait of Bladenboro; 10 grandchildren: Randall Woods Jr., Aubryonna Remington (Robert), Sydney Penman, Alisha Ransom (Riley), Mallory Bryan, Chase Bryan, Court Satterwhite (Daniela) and Caitlin Satterwhite and six great grandchildren: Madalyn Kay Ransom, Robert Remington Jr., Blake Remington, Caleb Remington, Blayze Satterwhite and Raiden Satterwhite.
Daisy was a loving, hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She cherished times spent with her family and friends. She was known as “Mama Daisy” to her youth group at Sandy Grove Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching about Christ and assisting with bonfires and hayrides. She was always willing to step in and help others. Daisy enjoyed outings, whether it was going to church, yard-hopping, shopping with her daughters, joking with her favorite sons-in-law or traveling. She also enjoyed dancing, reading, watching UNC basketball and dining at Red Lobster. Daisy was a wonderful cook, known for her famous hot cocoa and biscuits. She retired from Bladen County hospital where she worked as a Laboratory Medical Technologist. After retirement, she worked with Columbus County Hospital. Her vivacious personality and charm will forever live on in the hearts and minds of all those that knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th at 3 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 12418 NC 131 Hwy, Bladenboro with Evangelist Joshua West and Roy West officiating. Burial will follow the services at Guyton Cemetery Drive in Bladenboro.
