Christine Jackson Collum, 81, of Council passed away on Friday, January 01, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Collum; parents: Arthur and Eva Jackson; brothers: Clyde, Buck and David Jackson; sister, Sadie McDonald.

Christine leaves behind her son, Tony Collum and wife, LeeAnn of Salisbury; Christy McLawhorn and husband, Fountain of Ayden; three sisters: Carolyn Ellis of Bladenboro, Eva Mae Elkins of Clarkton, Sarah Ray of Hallsboro; seven grandchildren: Austin Lee, Christopher and Ethan Collum, Gregory Eason, Brandon Mclawhorn, Kelly McLawhorn Wynn, and Christopher Davis and eight great-grandchildren.

Christine was a collector of anything. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, going out to eat and caring for her family and pets. She loved the outdoors, the mountains, tending to her flowers and working in her garden. Her compassionate spirit will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 4th in the Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Council with Rev. Wade McLamb officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the following caregivers: Sherrie Kesler, Allison Tart, Marji Forrest, Evelyn “Helen” Branch and Jamie Warren. Thank you for the love and care you gave our mother.
