Carlton “Skacey” Bruce Priest, 85, of Bladenboro passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents: Preston and Mavis Priest; wife, Betty Rose Thompson; two brothers: Harold and Jerry Priest; three sisters: Phyllis Williams, Sharon “Jenny” Gibson, Judy Lowe; grandson, Ikie Stocks; great-grandson, Zachary Priest.

Skacey is survived by his son, Jeffrey Priest of Bladenboro; three daughters: Teresa McDonald (Michael) of Clarkton, Melissa Stocks (Johnny) of Clarkton, and Lori Lewis of South Carolina; two brothers: Larry Priest (Muriel), Gilbert Priest (Ann); two sisters: Betsy Brisson (Thomas), Pam Cain; nine grandchildren: Heath (Ramona), Jason, Kimberly, Jeff (Tiffany), Alexander, Jessie (Adam), Jetta, Jenna, Jeremy; fourteen great-grandchildren: Morgan (Austin), Carlee, Michael, Devan, Cayden, Paisley, Diamond, Jerrica, Max, Serenity, Nicholas, Dylon, Leelon, and Elijah.

Skacey loved the Lord and his family. He was married to Betty, the love of his life, for 60 years. Skacey spent his time reading his bible, telling others about his Savior and fishing whenever he was able. His joke telling and passion for life will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29th at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, January 29th at 1:00 pm in Old Field Cemetery in Bladenboro with Rev. Richard Priest officiating.
