Bonnie Anne Richardson McDonald, 62, of Clarkton passed away on October 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She leaves behind her loving husband, Jeffery McDonald of the home, son, Brandon McDonald of Clarkton; daughter, Shannon Russell (Harrison) of Cary; brother, Michael Richardson of Ohio; three sisters: Connie Kelly of Leland; Ina Ruttan (Dave) of Leland; and Brenda Shingleton of Wilmington; one aunt Jean Calderon (Frank) of El Paso, TX; and one grandchild. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Marion F. Richardson and Patricia Sherman.

Bonnie was the rock of the family. A sweet, powerful soul who always put others ahead of herself. She enjoyed fishing, family time, cooking, playing Candy Crush and Christmas time. A light from the home is gone but will eternally burn in the hearts of all that love and cherish her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services in the Clarkton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the services. All attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
