Aubry Jordan, Jr.

June 29, 1934 — September 22, 2019

Aubry “Buck” Jordan, Jr., 85, of Tar Heel, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Aubry and Isabelle Jordan, Sr; wife, Dorothy Guyton Jordan; brother, Cornell Jordan and son, Carnell Jordan.  Buck leaves behind his two daughters: Kim Jordan of Tar Heel, Teresa Jordan and life partner, Johnny Roberts of White Oak; two sisters: Doris Smith of Bladenboro, Margaret Lancaster of Kentucky; five grandchildren: Chris Jordan, Joshua Ward, Thurman Prevatte, Dustin Matthews (Ashley) and Tonya Dixon; thirteen great-grandchildren and lifetime neighbor and friend, Evelena Ward of Tar Heel.

Buck was a compassionate family man that was the backbone of his family. A very punctual, hardworking, man of steel. He loved fishing, coon hunting, working at his shop on lawn mower, tractor, etc. Buck was a very avid outdoorsman and was a longtime member of Woodman of the World.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, September 24th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at 2pm in the Monroe Cemetery with Larry Martin officiating service.
