Anna Johnson

Anna Faye Carroll Johnson, 78, of Dublin passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. Carroll and Ruth Lee Leggett Carroll and one brother, Ashley Carroll. Ms. Anna leaves behind her loving husband Howard Johnson of the home, two daughters: Anna Maria Johnson of Dublin; June Johnson Riley and husband Joe, also of Dublin; two grandchildren: Jessica Roberts Dillinger, Starslie Bryan Roberts, two great grandchildren: Kamryn Dillinger and Kiley Dillinger, two nieces, two nephews, two great nephews, one great niece and one great-great niece.

Ms. Anna was a compassionate, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially those grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to sing and play the piano but her true passion in life was visiting the shut-ins and nursing homes in her community. Ms. Anna’s favorite holiday was Christmas with all the family gathered around. Her kindness to others and her devotion to her family will not soon be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm at Elizabethtown Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Monday, April 22, 2019 followed by a funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. Charles Royal and Rev. Warren Hill officiating. A private burial will follow the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the cemetery fund for Allen Cemetery in Dublin.
