Ann Heustess

Shirley Ann Haire Heustess, 83 of Clarkton passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Craven and Mocy Melvin Haire; and her husband John D. Heustess. Ann loved her family and her granddaughter, Melynda. She enjoyed the time she spent with Melynda shopping and cooking. All holidays were her favorite, because she loved to cook and have her family over. Ann loved her church family and missed going to church and being with them due to her illness. She was a classy lady who loved to dress to impress. She was also chosen as the ABWA woman of the year.

Ann is survived by her two children, son, John Thomas Heustess of Clarkton; daughter, Deborah Heustess Storms and husband George of Clarkton; two sisters, Nancy Sparks of Clarkton; Brenda Smith of Elizabethtown; and her granddaughter, Melynda Kay Storms.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, at 11:00 am at Bladen- Gaskins Funeral Home with services to follow at 12 noon with Rev. Jim Woodruff officiating.  Burial will follow in Bladen Memorial Gardens.
