Yvonne Tatum

Yvonne Smith Tatum, 80, of Elizabethtown passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by parents, Charleston W. Smith and Ethel Thompson Smith, her loving husband of 64 years, Lewis Tatum, two brothers, Carl Smith and C.W. Smith, one sister, Glenda Faircloth and half siblings: Macie Smith, Iretha Smith, Wilbur Smith, Dormey Smith, Elena Smith, Geneva Smith, Ruthie Mae Smith and Venton Smith.

Yvonne leaves behind three sons: Clayton Tatum (Debra) of Elizabethtown; Johnny Tatum (LaVonda) of Elizabethtown; Ricky Tatum of North Myrtle Beach; seven grandchildren: Crystal Radford (Michael) of Radford; Marcia Clark (Jake) of Elizabethtown; Johnathan Tatum (Dianna) of Elizabethtown; Jessica Guyton (Aaron) of Leland; Erin Merritt (Mark) of Harrells; Jamie Tatum (Ashley) of Wilmington and Matthew Tatum (Michele) of Whiteville; 16 great grandchildren: Tatum Singletary, Tanner Singletary, Sophia Jacome-Singletary (Victor), Kylie Radford, Peyton Tatum, Owen Radford, Maverick Merritt, Layla Guyton, Avery Tatum, Hudson Tatum, Cooper Clark, Oliver Radford, Seth Guyton, Hadley Tatum, Harris Tatum and Weston Tatum, one brother, Truman Smith of Fayetteville;  and many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne cherished her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Yvonne enjoyed traveling and collecting dolls. Her big heart and unconditional love will forever be missed.

The family will have a private graveside service on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Community Homecare and Hospice.
