William Gooden

William Landis “Bill” Gooden, 74, U.S. Army Veteran of Elizabethtown went to his eternal home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was preceded by his parents, Seth Edwin Gooden Jr. and Mildred Margaret Huggins Gooden, his beloved wife, Margie Rae Gooden, and sister-in-law, Sara Gooden. Bill is survived by three brothers, Jack Gooden and wife Frances of Charlotte, Alan Gooden and wife Paulette of Charlotte, and Seth Gooden III of Killen, AL.

Bill was a friendly, generous man. He loved the Lord and loved his wife dearly. Bill never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking with folks and was well known in the community. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music. His gentle disposition and loving nature will be missed by all.

The family will hold a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Samaritan’s Purse.
