Wanda Jean Powell Williams, 59, of Roseboro passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. She was preceded by her parents, Clarence, and Ruby Powell and an infant twin sister. Wanda leaves behind her husband, James Marshall Williams of the home, two sons, Kenneth Powell (Nancy) of Bladenboro and James Williams Jr. of Roseboro, Kenneth’s stepfather, Millard Harvey, six stepchildren, Edward Harvey, Charlie Williams, Elijah Williams, Elizabeth Benton, Michael Benton, and Nina Williams, two nephews, Randy Harvey (Jennifer) and Michael Hudson, four nieces, Joyce Harvey, Mary Harvey, Katherine Harvey, and Melissa King, six grandchildren, Quadesia Harvey, Madison Powell, Darien Powell, Christien Powell, Kevin Harvey and Shannon Williams, and one great grandchild, Brooklyn Goodwin. She also leaves behind three sisters-in-law, Emma Harvey, Norma Harvey, and Ann Benton.
Wanda was a compassionate, giving lady. She adored her family and her fur babies, the cats. She was always quick to help others and opened her heart and her home to raise several children. Wanda will be eternally remembered for her loving spirit.
The family will receive friends at the home of Kenneth Powell on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
