Wanda Skipper Singletary, age 75, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Teed Skipper and Lessie Eunice Muse Skipper, her sisters Patsy Skipper, Rita Hitch and Ruth Hayes and her cousins, Larry Skipper and Franklin Muse.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband Robert “Bobby” Singletary of the home, sons Robert Clyde Singletary Jr. of Bladenboro, James Hatrick Singletary (Katrina) of Raeford, and Ron Claxton Singletary (Cory) of Bladenboro, two sisters, Janet Singletary of Bladenboro, Nanette Soles of Whiteville, and three grandchildren Ryan Singletary, Summer Singletary, and Paisley Singletary.
Wanda was a devoted wife of 57 years and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, her grandchildren and gardening with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time in her flowers, watching the hummingbirds and watching for owls at night. Wanda was a friend to all. She will be missed for her sweet spirit and loving disposition.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro followed by a funeral service at 3 pm. The Reverend Bruce Miller and Reverend Warren Hill will officiate the services. Burial will follow the services in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
