Wanda Register McLean, 74, of Bladenboro passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was preceded by her parents, Samuel Preston Register and Magalene Storms and her sister, Doris Perry. Wanda leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Wilton McLean of the home, son Kevin McLean and wife Renee of Bladenboro; two daughters, Rhonda Rhodes and husband Tracy of Knightdale; and Beth McLean of Bladenboro; four grandchildren, Amber Avery, Daniel Jackson, Colby McLean, and Jenna McLean and two great grandchildren, Caleb and Kylee Deese.
Wanda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who went above and beyond for her family. She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and cooking Sunday dinner for the family to gather. Her home, her yard and her car were always kept immaculate. She loved to move the furniture around and her kids often joked that they never knew where stuff was going to be. You could always depend on two things; Wanda would be grocery shopping every Friday and her home would be decorated for the holidays. She was not a fan of store-bought slaw either, she always had to have her own homemade version if it was hot dog night. The love Wanda had for God and her family will eternally be felt in the hearts of all the ones she loved and cared for most in this life.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27th from 2-3 pm at New Light Church in Bladenboro followed by a funeral service at 3 pm with Rev. Dale Hester and Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Services will conclude in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Bladenboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Funeral Fund of Wanda McLean c/o Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 3150, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
