Timothy Fleming Frush

Timothy Fleming Frush, 74, U.S. Army Veteran of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlon Harold Frush and Emmajean Carder Frush, an infant set of fraternal twins, and one brother, David Roger Frush.

 

Timothy is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Wanda Hall Frush of the home, daughter Samantha Frush Pope (Phillip) of Elizabethtown, brother William Harold Frush (Bobbi) of Winthrop Harbor, IL, three grandchildren Blaine Harlon Pope, Greer Fallon Pope, Pacey Nolan Pope, sister-in-law Kathy Frush of Apex, NC,  several nieces and nephews, and his fur baby Cami.

 

Timothy was born and raised in West Virginia. He graduated from South Harrison High School Class of 1967 and moved to the state of NC. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1969 where he retired after 32 years of service. He was stationed in Fort Bragg, NC where he worked for the Civil Service for 26 years. He then moved to White Lake, NC. While a resident of White Lake, he served in the White Lake Fire Department until his retirement, as a town commissioner for White Lake and the Public Works Director for the Town of White Lake. Among his extensive accomplishments he also served as a St. Paul's Masonic Lodge and Shrine Member. He often helped with the Annual Fish Fry to raise money for the Shriner’s Children Funds. Timothy was an active member of the White Lake Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with them and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren in all their activities. Timothy was a compassionate and giving brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an asset to both his family and his community and will be missed.

 

A Memorial service honoring his life will be held later.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Bladen County Animal Shelter.
