Terry Baker Sr.

Terry Lane Baker Sr., 69, of Elizabethtown went to his eternal home on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Baker and Janie Parham Baker, and one brother, David Baker. He leaves behind one son, Terry Baker II (Lisa) of Elizabethtown, two sisters, Ruby Hairr of Harrells and Kay Strickland of Elizabethtown and one granddaughter, Destiny Baker.

Terry loved his family and his community. He served on the White Lake Fire Department for 20 years and for 30 years he served as a Mason holding the Past Master Mason title of Lodge 646 in Bladen County and then served as a Bladen County Sudan Shriner. Terry was also a member of the Bladen County Ghostbusters Team. His heart was full of compassion and believed in what the Shriners stood for, helping the crippled children of the world. His other hobbies included cars and spending time outdoors. A heart of gold now rests and leaves a legacy of love to the ones who knew him best.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Family Cemetery, 1601 Peter-Cromartie Rd in Garland, NC. Rev. Dale Taylor and Rev. Randy Andrews will be officiating.
