Stephen Matheson

Stephen Daniel Matheson, 66, of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bascom Matheson and Letha Smith Matheson, son Christopher Matheson, two daughters, Faith Matheson and Tabitha Matheson, and granddaughter Izabella Matheson. He leaves behind his wife, JoAnn Matheson of the home, son George Matheson (Crystal) of Bladenboro, daughter Casey Matheson of Elizabethtown, one sister Teresa Callihan of Clarkton, and six grandchildren: Steven Matheson, Kymani Matheson, CJ Matheson, JC Burney, Georgia Matheson, and Kaarel Johnson.

Stephen loved the Lord and loved his family. His grandchildren had a special place in his heart. He loved his trucking job. His quick wit and lovingkindness that he shared with everyone will certainly be missed.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Richardson Baptist Church in Bladenboro followed by a Memorial service at 2 pm with Rev. Darin Andrews and Rev. Howard Albright officiating.
