Shirley Hall

Shirley Rae Brisson Hall, 83, of Elizabethtown passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edison Brisson and Geneva Jackson Brisson, and her husband Clarence Hall Jr. Shirley leaves behind one son Dale Hall (Terry) of Council, two daughters, Dianna Hall of Elizabethtown, and Pamela Bostic (Kyle) of Elizabethtown, two sisters, Hilda Kinlaw (Earl) of Bladenboro, Glenda McLean (Steve) of Leland, four grandchildren: Wesley Hall (Davida), Evan Hall (Laura), Jackson Bostic, and Easton Bostic and four great grandchildren: Weslyn Hall, Madelyn Hall, Owen Hall and Holt Hall.

Shirley, affectionately known as “The Flower Lady” was a generous, loving, and hardworking lady. She was the owner and operator of the Busy Bee’s Florist for over a decade and the Garden Center Attendant at Walmart for 23 plus years. Shirley also served as a volunteer on the Elizabethtown Rescue Squad for 20 years. When not working, Shirley loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She enjoyed attending every sporting event or activity they were involved in without fail. Just like the flowers she so lovingly attended, Shirley always gave everyone and everything a bounty of tender, loving care. A legacy that will not soon be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 4:00 pm. Burial will follow the services in Bladen Memorial Garden Cemetery in Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Windsor United Methodist Church or charity of one’s choice.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Pamela and Kyle Bostic, 85 Doe Crossing, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
