Sheila Newman

Sheila Ann Mankin Newman, 56, of Bladenboro passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born in Lorain County, Ohio on August 9, 1966, to the late Virgil Mankin and Margaret Welsh Mankin.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Thomas Newman of the home, son Robin Goodwin of Ohio, stepson Chris Newman (Juliet) of Longs, daughter Kristen Henry of New Bern, stepdaughter Casey Newman of Loris, brother Kevin Mankin (Carla) of Florida, sister Nia Lipka of Ohio, five grandchildren Addisyn Piekarski, Raelynn Henry, Ethan Goodwin, Conner Goodwin, and Kayden Goodwin, and four step grandchildren, Rayni Stout, Will Stout, River Newman and Carsyn Newman.

Sheila was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who thought the world of her family. She especially loved spending time with her husband and her grandkids on the weekend. An animal lover by nature, she was an active member of the Duck club, loved tending to her cats and chickens and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the cows grazing in the field. Sheila enjoyed playing games on her tablet in her spare time and collecting stuffed pigs. Her contagious smile and generous nature will forever be remembered.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Singletary Church in Dublin with the Reverend Al Marshburn officiating.
