Sheila Gibson Lanier, 57 of Clarendon, formerly of Bladenboro passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Buddy Gibson; maternal grandparents, L.C. and Ruth Thompson and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Alma Gibson.
Sheila was married to the love of her life, Kim for 39 years. Sheila was all about her family. She enjoyed time spent with them by having them over for holidays and pool parties. Her grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed going places with her family. Sheila was a devout Christian lady. She was the pianist at Forest Lawn Baptist Church where she also was the Choir Leader. She loved working in VBS, helping on clean up days at the church when the church doors where open she was there with her loving spirit to help wherever the Lord led her. She was a 1st grade teacher at Williams Township School. She was devoted to her teaching and loved her children. She always wanted what was best for her students. Sheila always put others before herself even when it came to her own health. She has never said a harsh word about anyone. She tried her best to always be the Christian example that God has asked us all to be. She was a hard worker; her house was always cleaned and the yard manicured. It was nothing unusual for you to hear the vacuum cleaner at 3:30 in the morning. Sheila’s gentle smile and loving spirit will be missed by who knew her.
