Ruby Melvin

Ruby Lee Everett Melvin, 71, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elmer Everett and Ida Mae Blackburn Everett, her husband, Tommy Melvin and one brother, Frankie Everett. Ruby leaves behind one stepson, Ashley Melvin, one brother James Everitte and wife Bessie of Elizabethtown, one sister-in-law Dee Everett of Fayetteville, two grandchildren, Sarah Melvin and Alexis Monroe, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Ruby was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was never afraid of a hard day’s work and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Ruby never met a stranger. Her compassionate and giving spirit will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Tar Heel Baptist Church Cemetery in Tar Heel, NC with Rev. Tommy Puryear officiating.
