Oscar “O.E.” Earnington Bryan, 84, of Dublin went to his eternal home on Monday, July 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Bryan and Resser Munce Bryan, his wife Patricia Bryan, and his brother Leo Bryan. O.E. is survived by his son, Terry Bryan of Dublin, three daughters, Sheila Smith (Thomas) of Little River, SC, Kimberly Shaw (Tony) of Whiteville, and Melissa Prevatte (Brian) of Dublin, one brother James Bryan (Brenda) of Dublin, one sister Elsie Faye Stec of Dublin, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
O.E. was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A hardworking man who had a passion for gardening and keeping his lawn immaculate. His home was his happy place. Most days you could find him sitting in his rocker on the front porch watching the sun rise and set or watching the people come and go. His legacy will live on in the lives of the ones who loved him best.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 15th at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 16th at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Warren Hill officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bethel Baptist Church.
