Olive Corcelius Skipper, 72, of Bladenboro, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She leaves behind three sons, Timothy Skipper (Mary) of Bladenboro, Christopher Skipper (Donna) of Bladenboro, and Jonathan Skipper of Oak Island, one brother Gerald Corcelius (Gayle) of Bladenboro, two sisters, Clara Cox (Ronnie) of Bladenboro, Gloria Nance of Bladenboro, sister-in-law Connie Corcelius Hales, and seven grandchildren Rebekah Skipper Singletary (Reagan), Olivia Skipper, Emily Skipper, Taylor Skipper, Jaylie Nance, Carson Skipper and Brayden Skipper. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ruby Abbott Corcelius, her husband of 36 years Rev. Carson Skipper Jr., one sister Janice Singletary and one brother Kevin Corcelius.
Olive was a sweet compassionate sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She never met a stranger and always treated others with a Christlike love. She cherished her husband and longed to be with him again in glory. The precious memories she left with her family and friends will keep them until the day they reunite again.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Bladen Gaskins Chapel in Bladenboro. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 2 pm at the Salem Church in Clarkton with Rev. George Conner officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Salem Cemetery in Clarkton. The family requests that masks be worn for the services.
