Michael "Tank" Shaw

Michael “Tank” Shaw, 65, of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Kathryn Shaw. Tank leaves behind his wife, Amy Shaw of the home; two sons: Richard “Sling” Shaw and wife Blake Allen Shaw of Elizabethtown and Michael “Bull” Shaw and wife Melinda Hardin Shaw of Elizabethtown; brother, Johnny W. Shaw and wife Penny of Elizabethtown; two sisters: Kathi Shaw of Wilmington, Sherry Shaw of Charlotte; sister-in-law, Lynne Krashner and husband Doug, four grandchildren: Harlie Shaw, Helen Shaw, Hunter Long and Anna Grace Long; one niece and four nephews.

Tank was an asset to his community and was a man of vision. He adored his family and grandchildren. He was a people person and never met a stranger. Some of his hobbies included quail hunting, cooking, visiting the beach, Dixie Youth baseball, White Lake and watching Lonesome Dove. Tank will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Elizabethtown City Cemetery with Rev. Neil Smith officiating. All attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
