Martha Mclamb

Martha Ann McLamb, age 88, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born in Tampa, Florida on April 18, 1934 to the late Charles Strickland and Blanche McKinney Strickland. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Clyde McLamb, seven sisters Helen, Mae, Jewel, Charlotte, Libby, Marie and Pinkie, five brothers Buddy, Carl, Arthur, Tommy and Bobby and two great granddaughters, Jada Britt and Bella Davis. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Sharon Fores of Conway, SC, Margie McLamb of Bladenboro, and Janice Gause (Rocky) of Bladenboro, one brother Roger Strickland of Tampa, FL, six grandchildren Daniel Britt (Gene), Jason Britt, Ginger Harrelson, Lee Harrelson, Mandi Wilkins (Kevin), and Eric Gause, many great and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Martha was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She came from a large family with 13 siblings and oh the stories she could tell about her childhood. Even in her prime, she had a great memory of dates and special occasions. Many folks loved to just sit and talk with her and enjoy her grand sense of humor. She enjoyed sitting in the beautiful sunshine and hated the cold weather. Martha brought much love, joy, and laughter to her family whom she adored with all her heart. She left them with a lifetime of good memories and stories of their own to tell for generations of this great woman God gifted them with.

A funeral service will be held at the Bladenboro Chapel of Bladen Gaskins in Bladenboro on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Anthony Hardin officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Singletary Cemetery (Sandhills) of Bladenboro.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Rocky and Janice Gause, 3300 Cabbage Road, Bladenboro, NC.
