Martha Bright

Martha Jane Bright was born to the late Samuel Haywood and Vera Young Mitchell on September 19, 1936. God called on an Angel to the Garden Of Life to pluck for him one of the finest flowers and called Martha Jane at the age of 84 to her Heavenly Home.

Martha Jane was married to the late Zacharius "Jack" Bright for 50+ years until his death. They had three biological sons together. She raised at least 16 other children that were a combination of her nieces, nephews, and more. Martha Jane loved to serve the Lord. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was happiest when she was praising him through song. She enjoyed cooking, nurturing others, gardening, reading her bible and sharing testimonies.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Zacharius "Jack" Bright, son James "Sammy" Bright, five sisters, Tassie Mae Graham, Doris Young, Vera Aretha Bass, Ludie Graham and Janie Elaine Owens and six brothers Samuel David Mitchell, George Alton Mitchell, Cleo D Mitchell, Haywood Ludwell Mitchell, Daniel Edward Mitchell, and Autry Dean Mitchell.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Judy Young-Bass of Roseboro, brother Earlon Ray Mitchell of Council, her four sons, Paul "Tony" Bright (Crystal Dove) of Bladenboro, Zachrius "Zack" Bright Jr of Clarkton, Lloyd "Woody" Bright of Lake Waccamaw, and William "Boss" Bright of Tar Heel, ten grandchildren Jessica Bright of Fayetteville, Jana Whaley of Savannah Ga, Hope Bright of Clarkton, Zachary "Taylor" Bright of Clarkton, Jacob Bright of Tar Heel, Abigail "Abby" Bright of Elizabethtown, Samantha Pickett of Beulaville, James "Jimmy" Bright of Ohio, Tonya Bright of Ohio and Austin Wilkins, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A private service is being held and all attendees are required to have masks.
