Margaret Butler

Margaret Fowler Butler, 88, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Fowler and Leila Letha McPherson Fowler, her dear husband, Hoover Butler, two sisters, Alene Byrd, and Linda Faye Fowler, four brothers, Elwood, Marshall, Johnny and William Earl, two sons, Lamonte and Elton Butler, and two infant siblings, Dana and Herbert.

Margaret leaves behind her daughter, Glenda Dale Butler Kirkland of Bladenboro, one sister, Ruby Young of Ocala, FL, two grandchildren Kimberly Barkhurst (Joe) of New Bern, Christopher Kirkland of Cameron, two great grandchildren, Kristano and Kaley, and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret loved the Lord and her family. They were her life and she spoiled them every chance she got. She enjoyed working in her yard tending her beloved roses. She also enjoyed shopping trips with her daughter and eating out at the Chinese restaurant. Margaret never met a stranger. Her personality was a magnet to all she met.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be missed.

A graveside service will be held in the New Pait Cemetery in Bladenboro on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jimmy Tatum officiating.
