Joseph "Danny" Smith

Joseph “Danny” Daniel Smith, 73, of Elizabethtown passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Badger Smith and Inez Pait Smith.

Danny leaves behind his lovely wife, Jill Smith of the home; three sons: Aaron Smith of Kelly, Kevin Smith of Dalzell, South Carolina; Dwayne Smith of Greensboro; daughter, Robin Johnson of Wedgefield, South Carolina; three brothers: James Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, Kenneth Smith of Elizabethtown, Ricky Smith of Kelly; five grandchildren: Matthew Smith, Cecil Johnson, Lily Johnson, Grayden Johnson and Delayna Smith.

Danny adored his family and the time spent with them. His grandson, Matthew was the apple of his eye. He was a man of all trades able to do just about anything. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, garden and just take care of things. His love for his country and the Marine Corp meant the world to him. He will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Monday, May 9th at White Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Carey Horrell officiating.
