John Larry

John Allen Larry, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the age of 80. He was born in Pleasantville, NY to the late Chester Larry and Adeline VanNostrand Larry on November 6, 1941.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Barbara Larry Reynolds. He leaves behind sons David Larry (Sandy) of Conway, SC, and Dennis Larry (Lorena) of Bainbridge, NY, daughter Dawn Armstrong (Tracy) of Bainbridge, NY, brother Howard Larry (Betty) of Norwich, NY, four grandchildren Cody Hunt (Stephanie) of Alden, NY, Adam Hunt of Bainbridge, NY, Rachel Hunt of Bainbridge, NY, and Amanda Lancaster (Chase) of Whiteville, NC, and six great grandchildren, Ethan Hunt, Parker Hunt, Zoey Hunt, all of New York, and Bailee Thompson, Layken Lancaster, and Hartley Lancaster, all of North Carolina.

John was an outgoing, loving man who cherished his family and friends. He worked with a great group of people at ACME who he treated like family. He enjoyed family gatherings, going bowling, a good game of horseshoes and working outdoors. John was a die-hard Duke Fan and loved NASCAR racing. He was a generous man who will be missed for his grand sense of humor and his big heart.

At his request, there will be no services held.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the ST. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
