James Snyder

James “Jim” Edward Snyder, U.S. Army Veteran, of Council, NC passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born in Clyde, NC on October 31, 1932, son of the late Carl Snyder and Lily Haney Snyder. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jeffrey Snyder. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Patricia Duncan Snyder of the home, daughters, Lisa Warlick (Rick) of Cary, NC, and Dana Dennis (Chris) of Garner, NC, five sisters, Wilma Whitaker of VA, Kathleen Scruggs of VA, Linda Walters (Luke) of Fayetteville, Maxine Crockett of VA, and Carlene Holmes (Tracey) of TN, three grandchildren, Brandy Brown, Kierstyn Myers, and Krystina Myers and one great grandson, Jason Brown.

Jim was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army as a Ranger. He and his wife enjoyed spending time outdoors especially when it was garden time. Jim was best known for his story telling. He loved to talk and will be remembered most for his quick wit and generous nature.
