James Mccall, Sr.

James Lloyd “Buckshot” McCall, Sr., 80, of Clarkton passed away at his home on Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Rosa Lee McCall; wife, Norma Jean McCall; sisters: Emme Lou Johnson, Kitty Davis and brother, O.B. McCall.

James leaves behind his son, James Lloyd McCall, Jr. and wife Peggy of Clarkton; daughter, Tammy Fowler and husband Darryl of Clarkton; two sisters: Grace Cain of Elizabethtown, Becky Schnepf of Bladenboro; three grandchildren: Andy Nunnery, Brandon Edwards (Tori), Shane Dowless (Kailey); seven great-grandchildren: Zachary, Adrianna, Isabella, Riley, Chloe, Ashton, Tucker and many nieces and nephews.

James adored his family and grandchildren. He was a true outdoorsman. Some of his hobbies included: hunting, fishing, mowing grass and working in the garden. James was a jack of all trades who could fix just about anything. His humble spirit will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, February 13th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 14th in the McCall Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating.
