James “Jimmy” Ronday Cook of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at the age of 75. He was born on August 4, 1947, in Bladen County to the late Geoffrey Burris Frank Cook and Gerline Santee Cook.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Bobby Joe Cook and Hugh Mohr Cook. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Deborah Cook, of the home, son Jason Cook (Veronica), daughter Amy C. Barnes (Greg) and four grandchildren Jacob Barnes, Gracie Barnes, Michaela Locklear, and Mason Locklear. Jimmy was a father figure to Tonya Bryan and brother-in-law and close friend to Dennis Bryan.
As our Heavenly Father has received one of His children, our family has lost one of the most inspiring men we have ever encountered. Jimmy was that one friend that we should all aspire to be. Jimmy was always helping others and he would be there before you could even ask. Jimmy would spend any time he could with his children and especially enjoyed spending time working on task his grandchildren would ask for. He would take any challenge or project the grandchildren hinted around that they would like and be finished before you could turn around. He was a jack of all trades and master of none but still better than a master of one. Jimmy knew his Heavenly Father and did everything he could to live the life that God provided.
God called Jimmy home while he was doing what he enjoyed and was able to spend his last days with all of the family through the enjoyments in his life.
