James Britt

James Albert Britt, age 88, U.S. Army Veteran of Dublin left this world on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born in Bladen County on July 15, 1934, to the late Wilbur Nash Britt and Louise Smith Britt. James was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Hilton Britt and three sisters, Mable Britt, Lucille Andrews, and Oleta McMillan. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

James served many years in the United States Army and always had a heart for serving his country. He enjoyed history, hunting and watching sports, especially football and NASCAR racing. James will be missed for his compassionate spirit and his ability to always consider the needs of others before his own.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a graveside service with military honors at 3:30 pm in the Tatum Grimes Cemetery in Tar Heel.
