Jackie Lee Dicks, 73, U.S. Army Veteran of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on February 22, 1948, in Frederick County, Virginia to the late William Jacob Dicks and Elizabeth Rush Dicks. Jackie leaves behind his loving wife, Annie B. Dicks of the home, two sons, Andy Dicks and fiancé Shawn Gore of North Myrtle Beach and Michael Dicks and wife April Dicks of Loris, three grandchildren Kaelee Dicks, Joshua Dicks, and Michael Lee Dicks Jr., and several nieces, nephews, and extended grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Cathy Stanley and Kenny Dicks.
Jackie was a man of many talents. He adored his family, his church, and his community. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and would often supply others with the bounty of his gardens. He also repaired things in the homes of those who were not able. His sons often say, “there was nothing he couldn’t do and no one who worked harder”. His strong work ethic and his willingness to serve will forever be remembered.
