Jabe Thomas Frink, 96, of Bladenboro passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon Frink and Maude Kelly Frink, his wife, Alice Wilson Frink, one brother, Worth Frink, and three sisters: Kathleen Sullivan, Faye Floyd, and Nan Kennedy. Jabe leaves behind one son, Mark Frink (Emily) of Bladenboro, one daughter, Rachel F. Rogers (Randy) of Winston Salem, one brother, Bernard Frink of Bladenboro, three grandchildren, John Rogers (Adrienne), Caroline McAnally (Wayne), and Jason Frink (Katrina) and seven great grandchildren: Logan, Parker, Emsleigh, Reade, Ainsley, Bythe and Cohen.
Jabe was a member of Galeed Baptist Church where he served in numerous capacities such as Chairman of the Building Committee, Chairman of the Deacons, and Trustee. He was a member of the Bladen Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, the Lions Club and was instrumental in the building of a chapel at the Bladen County Prison. Jabe stated that his greatest blessings were his wife Alice, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was also thankful to his parents for his Christian upbringing and to his in-laws, George and Ida Wilson for their support.
A Walk-Thru visitation will be held on Friday, April 16th from 6-8 pm at the Bladenboro Chapel of Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Bladenboro. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in the Galeed Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro with Rev. Warren Hill, Clifton Kinlaw, and Nathan Moore officiating. All attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Galeed Baptist Church Building Fund or Galeed Baptist Church Mission Fund, 571 Galeed Church Rd, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
