Henry "Les" Hill

Henry “Les” Hill Jr., age 71, of Elizabethtown passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, while at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Lester Hill Sr. and stepfather Wilson Brisson.

Les is survived by his mother, Doris Brisson, his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn Thompson Hill of the home, two sons Les Hill (Chelley) and Ben Hill (Angela), one daughter Lynne Franzeo (Tony), seven grandchildren Zak Franzeo, Ariana Felder (Alex), Tyler Hill, Aly Hill, Abby Franzeo, Kena Hill, and Maddie Franzeo, one great grandchild Addi Franzeo, and four siblings, Terri Peal (John), Chris Hill (Amy), Penny Shaw (Johnny) and Rusty Hill (Amanda).

Les was the rock of the family. He was dedicated to being a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Les taught his children and his nephews how to always stand behind their word and to always give a firm handshake. He seemed to always know what to say and how to say it in any given situation. He enjoyed farming, cooking, fishing, and building things for his children. Les also loved spending time with his fur companion, his dog, Bandit. The dedication that he gave to everyone and everything in this life will be remembered always.

A Celebration of Life Service to honor Les will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 3:30 pm at the home of Carolyn Hill at 3019 Owen Hill Road in Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
