Hannah Sharon Wood

 Miss Hannah Sharon Wood, 67, of White Oak passed away on August 30, 2023 at the Southport Health and Rehabilitation Center. Miss Wood loved the Lord, loved people, her true friends, and her dog, Bingo. Her happiest times were spent on the phone talking and praying for people.

Miss Wood was born April 15, 1956, in Clinton, NC, Sampson County to the late Hannibal Steele Wood and Corenia Watson Wood. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Wood Crowe. She is survived by her sister, Shelia Wood Council, husband Mac and their daughter Shelia-Marie Council Russ, husband Aaron and their sons, Allister, and Gaston, all of White Oak, her brother-in-law Jody Crowe of LaGrange, NC and daughters Rebecca Amber Crowe Russell, husband Dean and their daughter, Bexley of Oak Island, and Alison Crowe Wade Sports, her husband Tommy and sons Mason and Brice of LaGrange. She also leaves behind her wonderful, caring friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 3 pm at the Elizabethtown City Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Leon Warren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Bladen County Animal Shelter in honor of Sharon and Bingo.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all that were there for Sharon in her life journey.
