Frances Knight

Frances Dowless Knight, 86, of Robbins, NC, passed away peacefully at First Health Montgomery in Troy, NC on Thursday, December 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodie and Cornelia Dowless; three brothers: Edison, Roy and Woodie Dowless, Jr. Frances leaves behind her son, Darrell Horner of Robbins; daughter, Pamela Knight Basa and husband Errol of Chula Vista, California; sister, Barbara Wilson of Waco, Texas; five grandchildren: Ashton White, Lauren Gill, Darrell Jay Horner, Julien Basa, Erriale Basa; three great-grandchildren: Alanna Horner, Jonna White and Memphis White.

Frances was an affectionate lady who lived a simple life. She treasured her family and loved taking care of them. She had a major input in the raising of her grandchildren and cherished them dearly. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening in her spare time. She was a devout Christian and an avid Bible reader. Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, December 13th in the Bladen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Elizabethtown. Rev. Bill Cooper will officiate service.
