Fletcher McDuffie Jr.

Fletcher McDuffie Jr., age 90,  of Elizabethtown passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 while at UNC Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born and raised in Bladen County, son of the late Erastus Fletcher McDuffie Sr. and Marion Vannie Beard McDuffie. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Clayton McDuffie, Wilton McDuffie, and two sisters Lynette Blakely and Carolyn Smith.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Ruby Butler McDuffie of the home, son Craig McDuffie (Amy) of Elizabethtown, daughter Veva McDuffie Pait of Wilmington, sister Celia Compton (Jerry) of North Charleston, and four grandchildren Tyler Pait, Brandon Pait (Hannah), Michael McDuffie, and Matthew McDuffie.

The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a funeral service following at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Rudy Ramphal officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Elizabethtown Cemetery.
