Faye Butler Lewis, 85, of Elizabethtown went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was preceded by her parents, John Homer Butler and Grace Cheshire Butler, her husband Charles Lewis, brother Horace Butler, three sisters, Frances Monroe, Janice Rich and Peggy Norris, and son-in-law Steve Routh. Faye is survived by three daughters, Debbi Grosch of Lansing (Kirk), Pat Routh of Reidsville, and Shannon Ventura of Elizabethtown, brother Buddy Butler of Garland, three sisters, Jean Kimball of Swepsonville, Sylvia Carter of Parkersburg and Edna Morris of Parkersburg and five grandchildren, Charlie, Jake, Stacy, Brandon and Hector.
Faye was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her heart. She was a faithful member of Wesley’s Chapel Church in Elizabethtown where she served on the decorating committee for the Chrismon Tree and sang in the church choir.
Faye enjoyed working in her flowers and crafts. She leaves memories of laughter, love and joy.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25th from 6-8 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held in the Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, March 26th at 3 pm with Rev. Eckie Lancaster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wesley’s Chapel Outreach Ministry; Fayetteville Community Church, "The Barn" 2010 Middle River Loop, Fayetteville, NC 28312 or the charity of one’s choice.
