Estelle Victoria Chason Russ
Estelle Victoria Chason Russ, 79, of Abbottsburg passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at her home. She was born on April 26, 1944 to the late Walter Love Chason and Daisy Ivey Chason in Robeson County. Estelle was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Russ and son, Devlin Russ.
Estelle leaves behind her sons: Darrell Russ (Cheryl), Derrick Russ and Dwayne Russ, all of Abbottsburg; daughters: Dawn Russ (Arch) of Elizabethtown, Daphne Russ Green (Jeff), Donna Russ (Lee), Dorian Russ; all of Abbottsburg, and Dara Russ (Luka) of Cary; sister, Edna Sellers of Littlefield; grandchildren: Sarah, Grace, Catherine, Victor, Rachel, Bradley, Holly, Hunter, Aeryn, Samantha and Scarlett.
Estelle cherished time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and sister, Edna. She was a hardworking lady who enjoyed being outside, reading, going to church and listening to Elvis and gospel music. Her love and compassion for others will be forever remembered by all.
The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Wednesday, April 17th at Abbottsburg Baptist Church with a funeral service following at 3pm. Burial will conclude services in the McKinnon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKinnon Cemetery Fund 1049 McKinnon Road Clarkton, NC 28433.
