Elma Singletary

Elma “Lee” Nance Singletary, of Elizabethtown passed away at her home on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born in Bladen County on January 22, 1932 to the late Willie Durham Nance and Maggie Elma Garner Nance.

Elma was preceded  in death by her parents, her husband N.W. “Nymph” Singletary Jr. one brother Ernest Nance, two sisters Muriel Bordeaux, Evelyn King, two nieces Deloris Brisson and Brenda Gooden, and one nephew Johnny Bordeaux. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Dublin First Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow the service in the Tar Heel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The pallbearers for the service will be Ernie Nance, Eric Nance, Tim Nance, Mike Nance, Randy Bordeaux, and Wendell Garner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Dublin First Baptist Church.
